So as I wandering the grocery store when I saw a display for the Fruity Cheerios, I was like woah, they turned cheerios into fruit loops, but how would they taste? So in the interest of experimentation, and a need for cereal for breakfast, I picked up a box. So just how do they compare?
Size: The Fruity Cheerios are a LOT smaller than Fruit Loops. The smaller size means that you can fit more cereal onto a spoon, but that inevitably means that the cereal disappears a lot faster. My extremely full bowl disappeared faster than the Fruit Loops would have, It makes it seem like you eaten a lot less than you really have. WINNER: Fruit Loops
Taste: The Fruity Cheerios are naturally flavored with fruit juice as opposed to the artificial flavoring of Fruit Loops. This make the cheerio flavors less intense. WINNER: Fruit Loops
Sugar: The Fruity Cheerios also have less sugar which prevents the milk from getting way too sugary to drink. WINNER: Fruity Cheerios
Crunchiness: As the Fruit Loops contain a massive sugar coating they stay crunchier much longer than the Fruity Cheerios. Very quickly the cheerios turned into a fruity mush, which isn't that much fun to eat. However, the sugar coating of Fruit Loops also means that sometimes they can scratch the roof of the mouth. WINNER: Tie
Hunger Control: The Fruity Cheerios are made from whole grain which means it healthier and also keeps you from getting hungry too quickly, much better than Fruit Loops. WINNER: Fruity Cheerios
Although there is a tie, I am going to give the overall win to Fruit Loops, even though Fruity Cheerios are better for you, they just aren't as good. I can see eating Fruity Cheerios when I'm older and really can't stand all that sugar in Fruit Loops and Fruity Pebbles anymore, but for now, my loyalty lies with Fruit Loops.
